Let's catch up!

I realized, in the midst of reminiscing over memories made in 2010, that I had not shared any of those memories with you! To make up for my loss of ideas to post today, as well as to update you on some milestones that have passed.. I will attempt to create a "summary of 2010" in pictures (up until Bay's first birthday)!

We will start with the most recent...

Since the minute I planned the theme for Baylee's nursery, everything in her life has been ladybug. I never pass up the chance to buy anything that is ladybug. It only made sense that Bay should be a ladybug for Halloween. And boy, did she make a beautiful one!

One of our favorite things to do is spend time with Aunt Christy, Uncle TJ, and our cousins Brandon and Brady. This was taken during one of our many trips to O'Charleys.. where we share lots of love and eat lots of rolls!

This was a fun-filled fall day that we will all remember (except for Bay, because she was asleep for every minute but the one in which this picture was taken). Nini, Mam, and Paw came up to North Georgia for lunch and a trip to Jaemor Farms - where we found some yummy apples and these cute little pumpkins!

Baylee has shared many memories with this sweet little girl - Emma Grace. This is her Aunt Bee's real niece (but shhh! we have Bay completely convinced that she is Aunt Bee's real niece too!) This was taken in the Demorest Park during a fun day of girl time and the lunch buffet at Pizza Hut!

We took Baylee to one of my favorite attractions each year - The Gwinnett County Fair! She had lots of fun eating yummy fair food, observing the sights (both human and non-human), and spending time with her Nini and Papa.

Dada got major points for planning a family date to the CIRCUS! I can barely remember my first trip to the circus (and am positive that Baylee won't remember her's) but boy did we have a blast! What a fun, cheap night out!

On a trip to Buford, Baylee finally got to spend some quality time with her friend, Kale. Kale's mom, Krissy, has become one of my best friends over the past few years. I hope that we will be able to get the two together more often!

Well, Aunt Bee pulled one over on me this time! She threw me a surprise engagement party shortly after we got engaged. With the help of one of our sweetest friends, Ashley, she provided me a much needed night out with beautiful friends, a delicious dinner (& cake), and a memory that I will never forget.

Luckily, Baylee was born in time to help Granny celebrate her 80th birthday! She sure does love her Granny! It's hard not to adore someone that gives you everything you want!

This was my first Mother's Day with a reason to celebrate! Dada took us to Chili's for lunch and we had a grand time!

On this day, Baylee attended her first wedding. Well, actually, Mam made a visit to LFBC to stroll Baylee around downtown Lawrenceville while we attended the wedding. I would have hated for Baylee to ruin her cousin's (that she had never even met yet) vows! And it was nice to have a little break as well! Baylee did get to attend the reception where she proceeded to cry the entire time.. Thank goodness for the help of grandparents!

This was one of the special days that Nini came to visit (and take us out to dinner). However, this day was very special in that it was the day that she had a chemotherapy treatment (notice her pink bandage). What made it so special is that she was still able to come visit! Luckily, Nini never got sick during her treatment! I don't know if Baylee had anything to do with that or not.. but I do know that she sure helped to keep many minds off of what was really going on!

Daytona Beach has always been our home for one week during the summer.. and although this week was a little shorter than most (thanks to summer school), we sure did have some fun splashin' in the waves, spending time with family, and eating at yummy restaurants like Aunt Catfish's (where this picture was taken)!

We celebrated the Fourth of July with some of our favorite people in the world, Matt's sisters and their families. Baylee got to meet her Savannah family (Aunt Dawn, Uncle Shawn, Hunter, Tyler, Kyleigh, and Nick) for the first time. She had so much fun playing with her cousins!

Father's Day this year was special as well, as it was Matt's first year as a father. To celebrate, Baylee dressed up in her handmade onesie and we had a wonderful BBQ lunch at Nini and Papa's house with Mam and Paw.

Aunt Bee did us a favor and took some beautiful pictures of Baylee in the Demorest Park. We didn't know we had such a talented photographer on our hands, but according to the pictures, and the extremely difficult-to-photograph subject, we do!

We took several trips this past year. This picture was taken on our weekend getaway with Nini, Papa, and Aunt Rachel to Litchfield Beach in South Carolina. Check out those legs!

Aunt Bee, Aunt Sherry, and Uncle Mike graciously allowed us to help break in their new swimming pool. Even though the water was a little chilly, and my figure resembled that of a whale, Baylee had so much fun in her fishy float.

This was yet another time when Dada got some major points! He told me to pack a bag for each of us and we would take a road trip. We ended up in Myrtle Beach, SC for a very short, yet amazing, getaway. This was taken right after Matt had asked me to marry him by writing "Will You Marry Me?" in the sand. This is yet another memory that I will never forget.

This is one of the better family pictures that we have ever taken, in my opinion. Taken at the graduation party I threw at our apartment for Matt, just minutes after he made his parents the proudest they've ever been!

See, I told you they were proud! Bay sure does love her Granny and Poppy.. as if you couldn't tell by the smile!

As you can see.. he is very excited to have this useless document. For Christmas, he received it in a frame, another occasion where we was more than thrilled.

Matthew accepted his diploma from the President of Piedmont College (that is him in the background). I totally missed this part, as I was scurrying around the track of the gym, trying to capture pictures of this special moment!

Baylee experienced her first splash in the pool during our Easter weekend trip to Savannah. Not too sure that she loved it, but at least she didn't cry!

Baylee was able to spend some quality time with her Nini during our trip to Savannah. It was my first time to visit Savannah and it is definitely a place worth visiting. We actually visited once again after our Daytona vacation and stayed one night in the same suite where Will Smith stayed while filming a movie in Savannah. (By the way, this is one of my favorite pictures of Baylee thus far!)

One of our favorite places to spend time (and money) is at a Japanese restaurant in Gainesville. As you can see, Aunt Bee loves it too!

Before Easter, Nini and I took Baylee to visit the bunnies at a Boss Brother's Country Store in Loganville. What she didn't know, was that we were actually trying to get her picture taken with a bunny. She sure fooled me.. we both ended up getting our picture taken that day!

I believe this was Baylee's second snow during the first year that she was alive. I can't remember it snowing two times in all of the years that I've been alive. Oh well, at least someone is living my dream! I never knew handing someone a snowball would make them so happy..

During her fourth month, we decided to try out the rice cereal (and the highchair). I thought she liked it then.. you should see how much she likes it now!

Near the end of the Lion's 2010 season, Baylee attended her first basketball game. She seemed to really enjoy it (as you can see from the picture below)!

At two months old, her first smile was finally captured on mommy's camera! A smile that has done nothing but melt my heart ever since!

During January, Baylee experienced her very first "snow," which compared to the events of this past week, wasn't very much!

And there you have it.. some of my favorite memories of 2010. I will have to create a post for Baylee's first birthday, as well as her second Christmas!
